About

SEO Keywords is the brainchild of me, David Srodzinski. I take all the credit and all the criticism, the rough with the smooth, the Ying with the Yang.

And before I begin, I value your feedback. So please get in touch, good or bad, tell me what you like, and what you don’t, what saves you time, and what bears no fruit.

I’m a grown-up and can take it.

My goal is to improve SEO. Taking the guesswork out. Saving you time. Giving you confidence that you are doing the best you can.

So the story begins . . .

The Manual Approach to SEO

Being the owner of several online businesses, I wanted every one of them of them to rank well on search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, and Yandex. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) it’s called. I’m greedy like that. I want them to be successful. All of them. E-Com sites or complex Digital Cloud Products. WordPress. Shopify. WooCommerce. WIX. Square Space. I’ve used them all.

I use Google Analytics, mastering how it worked, what it said, what took people to my sites. And how to find the search terms and suggestions using Google AdWords and Google Search Console.

Quite an expert. Hours, Days, Weeks and Months of my time.

I got to understand the keywords that people would search for and that I would want my site to Rank against. The difference between Long-Tail and Short-Tail Keywords. The structure of an HTML web page and the DOM. CSS, SASS, JQUERY. What you should put where. Responsive design, image compression.

And it goes on.

But there came a point where I just wanted a tool I could trust to tell me.

Getting Serious About SEO

Like any Engineer, I worked the web code to find which things helped the Ranking and which things hurt: add this here and take that from there, add and subtract, over and over, many sites until I got the grasp of it.

And for some sites it was easy to Rank, but for others not, mostly you just have to know what you are doing and check I thought.

But as it turned out the checks are complex and nuances easy to miss.

But I battled on and most of my sites are now #1.

Why the Pain

Partly I did this myself because I am naturally curious, partly because I didn’t know any better and wanted to save money, and partly because when I did try existing off-the-shelf SEO tools I became frustrated.

All are excellent in parts, good points and bad points, some check this and some check that. But none of them were what I wanted: they were either too inconsistent, difficult to use, inconvenient, or just plain lacking.

Here, I’m particularly refering to tools such as SEMRush, MOZ, Yoast, Rank Math, and Screaming Frog

What I Wanted

What I wanted was wanted something visually interesting, quick and could help me improve my sites whenever I wanted, that I could use and think about with a coffee or out and about, and something that would make SEO a more interesting experience as, for most of the population, SEO is not the most interesting subject. You want to concentrate on customer journeys, color palettes, and calls to action. Not HTML semantics.

So I decided to write my own.

A new SEO Tool

Launched in 2020 during the lockdown, the SEO-Keywords Mobile App helps you understand your site’s Keywords from a search engine perspective. It makes you build a more discoverable site. Seatch Term optimized.
